FLUID BED PROCESSOR FOR GRANULATION

Fluid bed systems were first employed as very efficient dryers, with the application of spray nozzles, rapidly evolved into granulators. Bottom spray granulation, also known as the bottom spray coating technique, allowed for very effective coating. The fluid bed processor was ultimately prepared for the production of pellets as a result of the rotor technology. In the pharmaceutical business, nowadays, no other technology covers such a broad range of procedures in a single system at such a low cost.

Full fluidization is guaranteed with the unique revolutionary swirl generating method which gives great uniformity of coverage and high returns to the end product. The major difficulty is how optimal and uniform granule covering may be achieved. All grains engaged in the process of coating should have the same coating thickness, irrespective of their size. VJ Instruments has introduced a new fluid bed processor that offers multiple processing providing both flexibility and cost benefits.

VJ Instrument’s Fluidized Bed Processor, a revolutionary dryer and coater, adapted to handle smaller trial batches of pellets. In addition to handling aqueous as well as organic film coating systems, it is extremely portable. An advanced control panel helps you to monitor and record all the settings for the Fluid bed processor.

Components of Fluidized-Bed Processor

1.      Coating Cylinder/Container/Bowl

The coating bowl consists of a central cylindrical portion fabricated from SS- 316 quality material. A Glass Cylinder is provided on the upper cylinder to have a view while coating.

2.      Heater

The heater heats the inlet air to the desired temperature required to dry the pellets. It can be controlled to deliver the air from ambient to 90 C.

3.      Exhaust Pipe

The exhaust pipe clears the unwanted fumes and dust generated by core pellets and coating material from the coating bowl.

4.      Spray Gun

Spray guns are provided which fits in both top and bottom spray coating. The spray gun delivers droplets for the coating solution on the pellets. Its superb performance is achieved by the use of a new range of nozzles made up of SS-316 and metered dozing with the help of peristaltic pumps. It is easily adjustable along with its standard.

You can achieve droplet size from 50 to 5000 microns depending on the viscosity of the solution. The standard nozzle size of spray guns is 1 mm while customized sizes are also available as per the requirement.

5.      Control Panel

4 Inch Touch Screen PLC-based Advanced control panel offers complete control over the various setting for the coater.

6.      Peristaltic Pump

The peristaltic pump delivers the exact amount of solution to the spray gun through a silicon pipe.
