 Rapid Dryer :

A Rapid dryer is used for Drying sand samples for determining Moisture percentage, Clay percentage, and Fineness number.

Specification of Rapid Dryer -

Sand is dried using a fast dryer. Hold onto the sample of sand. Don't move the tray from its rectangular spot. Adjust the temperature, and light intensity by using a regulator switch. Set drying time by timer. After elapsing the time drying will stop. A regulator, timer, and drying pan are components of a quick drier.

Function -

Drying with the Fast Dryer takes use of the fluidized bed process, a technique similar to the one employed in large industrial dryers. Through a filter, outside air is sucked inside. The air is forced through the perforated plate and into the removable drying container by a blower after traveling through the engine and heating elements. The solid particles are agitated and forced upward, which keeps them apart from one another and prevents their surfaces from adhering. The air stream removes moisture from the particles before passing through the filter bag in the drying container's lid and out the other side. When working with products with a diameter smaller than 100 m, it is recommended to use the quick-clamp cover with the filter fleece insert. The blower's 750 watts.

 

Fluid Bed Dryer :

A machine that conveys a continuous flow of "wet" powder, granular, or flakes material over a perforated bed is known as a fluid-bed dryer. A perforated plate has holes, through which hot drying air is forced. The solids behave like a fluid because the wet solids are lifted from the bottom.

 

Working Principle of Fluid Bed Dryer -

A bowl-shaped stainless steel chamber with a removable, frequently perforated bottom makes up a fluid bed dryer. The air is introduced through this perforated bottom, and with the aid of heaters, the temperature of the air inside is raised. After filtering, the hot air is allowed to travel through the material bed. The system has a slot for the connection of a fan. The fan starts the airflow and keeps an eye on it. The machine's operating temperature and airflow can both be adjusted.


FBD Fluid Bed Dryer :

Fluid bed dryers (FBD) are used to dry items like granules, tablets, powders, fertilizers, and plastics, as their name implies. They are particularly well-liked in manufacturing sectors like chemicals, and pharmaceuticals. 

Principle of Fbd Fluid Bed Dryer -

The solid particles will be blasted up and become suspended in the air stream if the air is allowed to pass through a bed of solid powdered material with a velocity greater than the particles' rate of settling.

This stage is known as fluidized because the solid bed now resembles a boiling liquid. The rate at which the material dries will increase if hot air is used to fluidize the bed.

The FBD has a detachable stainless steel bowl-shaped chamber with a perforated bottom. You put the material in this dish to dry. Air is injected into the bowl from the bottom and heated by the heaters to the proper temperature.

Working Process of Fluid Bed Dryer -

ü The bowl-shaped dish is filled with the item to be dried. 

ü The heaters warm the air to the appropriate temperature before it is introduced from the top.

ü After passing through the filter, the air continues onto the material bed at the bottom.

ü The fans installed at the top of the apparatus create the airflow.

ü The control panel allows you to change the operating temperature and airflow rate.

ü The bed widens as the airflow rises, and powder particles begin to rise up in a chaotic motion.

ü The substance dries when it comes into regular contact with air.

ü In order to gather the material's fine particles, the air leaving the FBD goes through the filter.

ü FBD bags are shaped like fingers.
